A Community Built on Health, Dignity & Hope

Registered 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Organization · EIN: 99-0505549

Sunrise Health Care Inc was founded in Denver, Colorado in 2014 by a small group of passionate physicians, nurses, and community advocates who witnessed firsthand the healthcare disparities plaguing the city's most vulnerable neighborhoods. What began as a weekend mobile clinic serving 40 patients a month has grown into a full-service nonprofit delivering preventive care, mental health support, chronic disease management, and health education to more than 12,000 individuals annually.

Our name — Sunrise — is intentional. Every sunrise represents a new beginning, renewed hope, and another opportunity to heal. We believe that access to quality healthcare is not a privilege but a fundamental human right. Located in Denver's southeast corridor, our team works tirelessly to remove barriers — financial, linguistic, geographic, and cultural — that keep families from getting the care they need and deserve.

Why We Exist

To provide compassionate, culturally competent, and affordable healthcare and wellness services to underserved individuals and families in the Denver metropolitan area, ensuring every person can access the care they need regardless of income, insurance status, or background.

Where We're Headed

Voices From Our Community

"

Before Sunrise Health Care, I hadn't seen a doctor in six years. I couldn't afford it and didn't speak much English. Their team came right to my neighborhood, spoke to me in Spanish, and helped me understand I had diabetes. They saved my life — I truly mean that.

As a pediatric nurse, volunteering with Sunrise is the most meaningful work I do. I see children who've never had a proper wellness checkup get examined, vaccinated, and loved. The staff here don't just treat bodies — they treat whole human beings.

I came to the Mind & Wellness program after losing my job and falling into a deep depression. My counselor at Sunrise helped me rebuild piece by piece. A year later, I'm back working, I'm present for my kids, and I'm healthier than I've been in a decade.
